I started AgingUnbound because I saw the same pattern for decades:

Good people — smart, thoughtful, caring people — stuck in a healthcare system that wasn’t built for them.

They were confused because the system failed them.

After nearly four decades working in public health, compliance, and healthcare systems, I knew how to make policy work. But I also knew something deeper: it’s nearly impossible to advocate for yourself when you’re in the middle of it. Especially when you’re aging. Especially when you’re the caregiver.

So I stepped out of the system to walk beside the people in it.
